Český literární underground byl u nás výjimečným fenoménem. Jeho vznik bývá spojován s totalitním režimem a hledáním svobodného vyjádření. Po sametové revoluci se ve svobodném českém prostředí začala prosazovat literární postmoderna, která postupně pohlcovala i některé autory z bývalého undergroundového okruhu. Je ale postmoderna skutečně vhodnou platformou pro undergroundové spisovatele? Oba proudy vykazují nápadné podobnosti v užití literárních prvků. Z komparativní analýzy společných prvků undergroundu a postmoderny vyplývá, že se liší nejen východiska užití daných prvků, ale i jejich funkce.Czech underground literature was a unique phenomenon. Its origins have been associated with the Czechoslovakian totalitarian system and with the quest for freedom of expression. After the Velvet Revolution the liberated Czech creative environment experienced the arrival of postmodern literature, which began to absorb some of the writers formerly from the sphere of underground literature. Is postmodernism a really suitable platform for those Czech underground writers? Both styles show noticeable similarities in the usage of literary elements. Comparative analysis of the common elements of the Czech underground and postmodernism shows that there are differences both in the elemental foundations and its elemental functions.
