V této práci jsem se zabývala tématikou symbolu býka v hispánské kultuře. V úvodu práce jsem se snažila shrnout užívání tématu symboliky v jiných kulturách a historii býka na Pyrenejském poloostrově. Mým úkolem bylo osvětlit býčí tematiku v jednotlivých oblastech hispánské kultury se zaměřením na španělský jazyk. Velkou částí práce byl seznam tauromachických pojmů a výrazů, které v lidovém jazyce získaly přenesený význam a mým cílem bylo vysvětlit původní i tento přenesený význam slov či slovních spojení a dokázat tak velký přínos španělské národní tradice a moderního kultu býka pro hispánskou kulturu.In this thesis I deal with symbolism of the bull in Hispanic culture. The first part summarizes the use of the symbol of the bull in other cultures and history of the bull on the Iberian Peninsula. The aim of this part of thesis is to explain bull symbolism in particular areas of Hispanic culture with focus on the Spanish language. A significant part of the thesis is dedicated to a list of terms and expressions used in tauromachy which have aquired a figurative meaning in the common language, and the main aim is to give an explanation for the former meaning as for the figurative meaning of these expressions and terms and show how significantly it influences the Spanish national tradition and modern cult of the bull in Hispanic culture.
