Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá vztahy v oblasti kultury mezi Nizozemskem a Čínou po roce 1989. Podává stručnou historii Číny od roku 1989 do současnosti a historii mezinárodních vztahů mezi Nizozemskem a Čínou. Dále se zabývá kulturní politikou Číny, se zaměřením obzvláště na cenzuru. Jádro práce tvoří výzkum kulturní výměny mezi Nizozemskem a Čínou od roku 1989 až do současnosti. Během několika kratších období je popsána kulturní výměna mezi Nizozemskem a ČLR v oblasti filmu, hudby, výtvarného umění, literatury a kulturních událostí. Cílem práce je následně analýza této kulturní výměny a zjištění, do jaké míry byly tyto vztahy v oblasti kultury ovlivněny politikou a bilaterálními vztahy mezi Nizozemskem a Čínou.In my thesis, I outline the cultural relations between the Netherlands and the People?s Republic of China after 1989. It includes a brief history of China from 1989 to present and the history of international relations between the Netherlands and China. Besides it also deals with the cultural politics of China, focusing especially on censorship. The core of the work consists of research on cultural exchange between the Netherlands and China from 1989 to the present. Within short periods is described the cultural exchange between the Netherlands and China in the field of film, music, art, literature and cultural events. The aim of my work is to analyse these relationships and to determine to what extent were these relations influenced by the political situation in China and by the bilateral relations between the two countries.
