Práca sa zaoberá motiváciou študentov učiteľstva. Pomocou Dotazníka výkonovej motivácie LMI a modifikovanej verzie Dotazníka vnútornej motivácie IMI sme na vzorke 50 študentov prvého ročníka a 50 študentov posledného ročníka Pedagogickej fakulty Univerzity Palackého v Olomouci skúmali, aká je ich motivácia k povolaniu učiteľa, či sa v priebehu štúdia mení a či existuje spojitosť medzi motiváciou k učiteľskému povolaniu a charakteristikami rodiny študenta. Výsledky potvrdili určité medzipohlavné rozdiely vo výkonovej motivácii na škálach: Dôvera v úspech, Dominancia, Preferencia náročnosti a Internalita. A rozdiely medzi ročníkmi štúdia, kde sa ukázala tendencia k zvyšovaniu ochoty vzdelávať sa, vyberať si náročnejšie úlohy a znižovaniu strachu z neúspechu. Analýza nepotvrdila, že súrodenecké konštelácie a výskyt učiteľa v rodine sú dostatočné silné faktory ovplyvňujúce silu motivácie pre budúce povolanie študentov učiteľstva. Študenti sú v súvislosti s ich budúcim povolaním slabšie orientovaní na výkon. K učiteľstvu ich vedú prevažne rôznorodé vnútorné motívy.This work has examined motivation of students of pedagogy. Through the use of LMI questionnaire and modified version of IMI questionnaire in sample of 50 students in first year- class and 50 students last year-class of study at Pedagogical faculty of University Palacky in Olomouc, we tried to explore their motivation for the teacher´s profession, also if motivation can change during the study and if exist connection between motivation for teacher´s profession and characteristics of student´s family. Results confirmed several sex differences in performance motivation on scales: Belief in success, Dominance, Preference of seriousness and Internality. Also the differences between year-classes of study suggested tendency to increase compliancy to learn, choosing more difficult tasks and tendency to decrease fear of non-success during the study. Analyze didn´t confirm, that sibling consternation or occurrence of teacher in family are important factors, which can influence a power of motivation of student of pedagogy for their future profession. Students are worse off oriented in performance. They are attracted to teacher´s profession mainly by varied intrinsic motives.
