Tato diplomová práce se zabývá jídlem a pitím ve Starém zákoně. Nabízí klasifikaci poznatků ohledně široce pojaté problematiky jídla a pití ve Starém zákoně. Prezentuje jak dosavadní zjištění na toto téma, učiněná u nás i ve světě, tak analýzu doposud nedostatečně zpracovaných oblastí. První kapitola se věnuje lexikálním a faktografickým hlediskům jídla a pití ve Starém zákoně. Druhá kapitola zasazuje bádání do rámce daného stravovacími zvyky Blízkého východu. Následující kapitola zevrubně popisuje zdroje jídla a pití, jejich získávání a zpracování. Další kapitola je věnována jídlu a pití ve vybraných biblických souvislostech. Pojednává o čistých a nečistých zvířatech v knize Leviticus a Deuteronomium, o problematice rituálů a obětí, solných smlouvách, o jídle a pití v netradičních souvislostech, o předobrazech Eucharistie a zabývá se verši věnovanými střídmosti a štědrosti. V páté kapitole je provedeno srovnání tří rekonstrukcí starozákonního receptu na čočkovou krmi. Závěrečná část shrnuje dosažené výsledky a nabízí další možnosti zkoumání. Pro práci s biblickým textem byl využit jak tištěný text Starého zákona v hebrejštině, češtině a angličtině, tak odpovídající elektronické verze a počítačové programy, určené pro studium biblického textu, především program Bible Works.The aim of this diploma thesis is to deal with food and drinks in the Old Testament. It offers classification of experience of widely approached issue of food and drinks throughout the Old Testament. The thesis presents both, existing ascertainment of this topic made in the Czech Republic (as well as worldwide) and analysis of fields which have not been sufficiently elaborated yet. The first chapter concerns with lexical aspects of food and drinks in the Old Testament based on facts. The second chapter researches eating habits of the Middle East. The next chapter delineates thoroughly the sources of food and drinks, as well as the ways of its gaining and processing. The following chapter is devoted to food and drinks in selected biblical connections; this chapter deals with the issue of clean and unclean animals coming from the book of Leviticus and the book of Deuteronomy, the problems of rituals and sacrifices, the covenants of salt, food and drinks in untraditional contexts, the archetypes of the Eucharist and the verses about grace and sober-mindedness. The fifth chapter is a comparison of three reconstructions of the Old Testament recipe for a lentil pottage. At last, the final chapter summarizes achieved results and offers other possibilities of research. To work with Biblical text the author used printed text of the Old Testament in Hebrew, Czech and English and corresponding electronic versions and programs designated for exploration of Biblical text, primarily ?The Bible Works?.
