Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na funkci asistenta pedagoga ve výchovně vzdělávacím procesu. Vymezuje po-jem mentální postižení, metody péče o osoby s těžkou men-tální retardaci a souběžným postižením a vice vadami. Seznamuje s možností vzděláváni a popisuje legislativní rá-mec funkce asistenta pedagoga. Ve výzkumné části se zabývá specifiky práce asisten-ta pedagoga se středně těžkým mentálním postižením ve vzdělávacím programu ZŠ speciální.This thesis is focused on the position of teaching as-sistant in educational process. It deals with the definition of mental disabilities, methods of care for severe mentally re-tarded children and children with more disabilities and spe-cial needs. Possible educational opportunities and legislative background of the teachingassistant job are discussed. The research part of the thesis deals with the specifics of the work of teaching assistants caring for children with moderate mental disability in curriculum for education on special schools.
