Složení materiálu, který používají v dutinách hnízdící ptáci pro konstrukci svých hnízd, je doposud velmi opomíjené téma výzkumu. Obzvláště v hnízdech sýkor je patrná častá přítomnost savčích chlupů, avšak význam tohoto materiálu pro hnízdní biologii ptáků je velice nejasný. Cílem diplomové práce bude identifikace savčích chlupů z hnízd vybraných druhů v dutinách hnízdících pěvců v podhůří Nízkého Jeseníku. Proveden bude jak rozbor druhů savců, které ptáci využívají k budování svých hnízd, tak i kvantitativní charakteristika významu jednotlivých druhů. Rozbor chlupů bude proveden za pomoci vlastní srovnávací sbírky chlupů, dostupné odborné literatury a dle běžně užívaných mikroskopovacích technik.Nest material used by cavity nesting birds for construction of their nests is still a very neglected subject of research. Especially in titmice nests, frequent occurrence of mammal hair has been observed, however the significance of the material for nesting biology of birds is quite unclear. The aim of this study was to indentify, from which mammal species originated the material used by cavity nesters (titmice and flycatchers) for construction of their nests in Nízký Jeseník Mountains. Particular mammal species identification and quantitative evaluation of mammal species significance will be performed.The own reference collection of mammal hairs, scientific literature and common microscopical techniques for mammal hair analysis will be used.
