Diplomová práce Biopsychosociální potřeby nemocných s revmatoidní artritidou a systémovým lupus erythematodes se v teoretické části zabývá dvěma nemocemi: revmatoidní artritidou (RA) a systémovým lupus erythematodes (SLE). Pozornost je věnována dospělým, těhotným ženám i dětem od počínajících příznaků, diagnostikování nemoci až po léčbu, při které je důležitá kvalitní farmakoterapii bolesti. RA i SLE jsou onemocnění chronická a mnohdy ohrožují nemocného na životě. Nemocné čeká po biologické stránce doživotní střídání období remisí a relapsů, která mají vliv na psychiku každého nemocného bez rozdílu věku. Na psychiku nemocných (konkrétně na témata somatická nemoc a psychika, subjektivní pohled pacienta na nemoc, prožívání nemoci v čase, psychologická problematika u nemocných dětí a zdravotně handicapovaných) je zaměřena kapitola Psychologická problematika. Z řady nemocných s RA a SLE se postupem času stávají invalidní spoluobčané, kteří potřebují informace ze sociální oblasti a související pomoc. Součástí kapitoly Sociální potřeby nemocných s RA a SLE je Sociální informatorium pro dlouhodobě nemocné s RA, SLE a osoby zdravotně postižené. Informuje o pracovní neschopnosti, invaliditě, sociálních službách, příspěvku na péči, dávkách sociální péče a mimořádných výhodách pro zdravotně postižené osoby. V teoretické části je dále charakterizována lázeňská léčba u pacientů s RA a SLE, a to na konkrétním příkladu lázní Jáchymov jako nejúčinnějších lázní pro obě onemocnění. V těchto lázních je realizována unikátní léčba radonem pomocí radonových koupelí a brachyradiumterapie. Praktickou část diplomové práce tvoří výsledky dotazníkového průzkumu lázeňské léčby nemocných s RA a SLE. Celkem bylo osloveno 400 potenciálních respondentů, zpět bylo vrátilo 155 vyplněných dotazníků. Ty byly dále roztříděny podle různých kritérií (onemocnění, pohlaví, pracovní schopnost, návštěvy lázní atd.). Odpovědi na jednotlivé otázky byly analyzovány a zachyceny v grafech a tabulkách. V dotazníkovém šetření byly zjišťovány mj. údaje týkající se lázní, v nichž se pacienti léčí, snášenlivosti procedur, léčebného efektu v průběhu lázeňského pobytu, odezvy lázní na psychiku jednotlivých nemocných, ústupu bolestí kloubů a svalů, mizení otoků kloubů, kondice nemocného, zdravotního stavu při odjezdu z lázní, délky léčebného efektu po ukončení pobytu v lázních, schopnosti si po návratu z lázní bez větších problémů uvařit, uklidit a navazovat sociální kontakty se svými vrstevníky a zájmu léčit se opět v lázních.The master's thesis entitled Biopsychosocial Needs of Patients Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in its theoretical part deals with two diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). It focuses on adults, pregnant women and also children from the first symptoms through the disease diagnosis to treatment in which key role is played by high-quality pain pharmacotherapy. Both RA and SLE are chronic and often life-endangering diseases for the patient. From a biological point of view, the patients experience remissions and relapses throughout their lifetimes. This has an impact on the mental condition of each patient regardless of his or her age. The patients' mental condition (topics like somatic disease and mental condition, experiencing the disease over time, psychological issues in sick children and the physically disabled persons in particular) is dealt with in a chapter entitled Psychological Issues. Many RA and SLE patients gradually become disabled citizens who need information on social issues and related help. Social Informatorium for Long-Term RA and SLE Patients and Physically Disabled Persons is included as a part of a chapter entitled Social Needs of RA and SLE Patients. It provides information on inability to work, disability, social services, care benefit, social benefits and extra benefits for physically disabled persons). The theoretical part also provides a description of spa treatment of RA and SLE patients, using a particular example of Jáchymov Spa which is considered the most effective spa for both diseases. This spa provides a unique radon treatment using radon baths and brachyradiotherapy. The practical part of the master's thesis contains results from a survey focused on spa treatment of RA and SLE. Overall, 400 potential respondents were asked to participate in the survey. 155 filled out questionnaires were returned. These were then sorted according to a variety of criteria (disease, sex, ability to work, spa visits etd.). Answers to individual questions were analysed and recorded in charts and tables. The aim of the survey was to gather e. g. data regarding spa in which patients are provided with treatment, tolerance of spa procedures, treatment effect in the course of the spa stay, spa influence on the individual patients' mental condition, reduction of joint and muscle pain, shrinking swelling, patient's condition, his or her health condition upon departure from the spa, the duration of treatment effect after the spa stay, the ability to cook, houseclean and establish social contacts with peers and the interest in undergoing spa treatment again.
